Here's what you need for a seamless experience.
Internet Connection
It will be helpful to find a strong and secure internet connection that you can reliably access for class. Our course involves video streaming and video conferencing, both of which can drain data quickly if you are viewing via a wireless signal.
Your Devices
The Digital CBA is compatible with most devices including phones, tablets, and computers. We recommend making sure that you have reliable and regular access to the same device throughout the class. If you have multiple devices, your login credentials will make it easy for you to switch between them at your convenience.
Your Course Materials
In advance of class, you will pick up your course materials. These will come in a binder that has a workbook for each class and ten homework assignments. Please keep these materials together, safe and nearby so that you can access them easily during the CBA.
Zoom (desktop/mobile app)
We run the “live” portion of our class via Zoom. Before joining a Zoom meeting on a computer or mobile device, you can download the Zoom app from the Zoom Download Center.
CamScanner (mobile app)
CamScanner captures your homework and other papers quickly and beautifully, transforming them into high-quality scans ready to upload to our course.
Download for iOS Download for Android
Getting comfortable with Zoom for your LIVE classes.
As part of your CBA experience every week you'll view lessons online and then participate in a Live Zoom Class!
To do this online we'll use some Zoom tools to make the experience fun and engaging.
Install Zoom
Before joining a Zoom meeting on a computer or mobile device, you can download the Zoom app from their Download Center. Otherwise, you will be prompted to download and install Zoom when you click a join link.
After you have Zoom installed, you can also click here to join a test meeting to familiarize yourself with Zoom.
How To Use Zoom
In the video below, Zoom shows how to join a meeting through an email invite.
You can see platform and device-specific directions in the Zoom help center at the following link:

PRO TIPS: Get More Out of Zoom
Zoom Video Options
Right before you enter the Zoom meeting, there is an option to start the session with video or without. If you choose to start without video, you can always turn it on once you are in the class. The preview window shows you how you will appear once in the session. While video is great to make others feel more connected to you, having a nice picture of yourself can also be a way to have your video off but still be present.
Zoom Background Options
You can have fun with background images! See the attached picture to pick a virtual background. You can also edit how your name appears, indicate pronouns that should be used to address you, or share your town or business name (if you have one) by editing your name.
Zoom Accessibility Options
If you need additional accessibility support, you can find under the "Accessibility" menu option.
Frequently Asked Questions
In order to maximize course experience, a consistent and reliable internet connection is necessary. But what happens if the internet goes out? Don’t worry! These things happen from time to time and we’ll make sure your back on track as soon as possible.
If you lose your internet connection during a live Zoom session, call or text your Site Monitor immediately to let them know that you are experiencing internet challenges. If you are able, seek out a different way to access the internet (Note: Be mindful that video-conferencing and video-streaming will quickly drain the data on mobile plans).
If you are unable to connect through a different internet option, reconnect with your Site Monitor and they will help to either attend a different Zoom Class that week or provide an alternative way to make up any missed material.
The most common issue with logging in is mistyping or forgetting a username or password. If you do forget your password, follow the prompts on the login page to recover your password via your email address.
To avoid this problem, we suggest writing down your username (the email you gave us for your contact details) and password when you set up your account with our learning management system.
•If you are unable to recover or reset your password, please reach out to us so we can get you back up and running.
We suggest keeping your class materials in the course binder and in a place that is safe and easy to access. You will be using these materials frequently and they are not easily replaceable.
If you do lose some of your class materials, reach out directly to your Site Monitor who will help find a way to replace the lost materials.
Life happens! We want to be flexible with you when you are unable to make your Zoom Class. If you ever need to miss class, reach out directly to your Site Monitor as soon as you know you will be unable to attend. They will work with you to connect you into one of the other Live Zoom Classes occurring that week.
Please note that attendance is mandatory for graduation. Every entrepreneur must attend 11 of the 12 Live Zoom Classes in order to graduate.
The homework download and upload process is the most technically complicated portion of the Digital CBA. Please review these instructional guides for help.
A quick simple fix to get Zoom sound our audio issues corrected is by restart logging out of the Zoom app and logging back in. Sometimes stopping and restarting an app will work. If this doesn't solve the issue, try restarting your computer.
Your computer, tablet, or smartphone may work best when you restart it daily. It is a helpful routine to restart your device at least 30 minutes prior to a LIVE session.
